Sven B. Schreiber (sbs) "Us" is one of my favorite "insider tips" on the Dutch prog scene. Once it was a 5-piece band, but life got in the way and reduced the lineup basically to Jos and Marijke Wernars. Which, in my opinion, is not a bad situation at all, because Jos Wernars turned out to be the perfect man with respect to writing, performing, and recording almost everything alone. This album preview proves it once again. It's epic symphonic prog of a most enchanting melodic kind, now on continuous play on my tablet. Favorite track: One thing is the thought.

about

With a lenght of over 50 minutes it could have easily been the 11th US album. But before producing the actual CD we would like to see what our fans think. So for now the new songs are only available on the bandcamp site.As always the songs are written and produced by Jos Wernars playing all the instruments except the drums.Vocals are done by Paul van Velzen, Jos Wernars and Marijke Wernars. The latter has a more prominent role than ever before. Again we took the time to record, living 2.100 km’s apart. The lenghty tracks are: One Thing Is The Thought, The Other The Deed, describing the role the newsmedia play influencing our thoughts and subsequently our deeds. The second track - When Superman Doesn’t Know - warns us about trusting too much in people we regard as super hero’s from a Marvel comic, but turn out to be what they actually are...humans like the rest of us.
