If not pse contact j.wernars@ziggo.nl The 10th album by the US sees the return of Paul van Velzen as drummer and co-vocalist alongside Jos Wernars and Marijke Wernars. We have taken the time to record it, because it’s all done at home and Paul’s home is Spain. As usual, all the songs are written by Jos and again he came up with some beautiful melodies and stories. The title track refers to the British Isles, where the Vikings first set foot to begin their conquest of Britain. Little Wonders in Suburbia is a very personal song in memory of a friend who died too young. The Lady of Shalot is loosely based on a poem by Sir Alfred Tennyson and brings us back to the legend of King Arthur. The album closes with the longest track called The Dancing Boys. Acting on a horrible tradition in Muslim countries like Afghanistan and Pakistan, that makes young boys enslaved to act as a substitute for women.
